even even the night it happened I uh I had so many second thoughts about it I remember standing in
the bathroom and thinking this is this is crazy I've never done anything like this before you know I don't even have a
criminal background uh but I was drinking to build up some kind of feeling where I
could I could take care of this I hear the uh the front door the knock uh she opens the door there was
some chatter between the two of them and then I hear this click click click click
click it's the loud snapping from the stun gun the stun gun was about that long and about that big around didn't
work I came out and I had to Pistol wrapped in a towel well she looked at me and I could tell she was
scared he looked at me and that's when he said what what the hell's going on or something like that that was when I just
raised this one and fired where was he struck side of the head right here above the ear he started to fall he went down
slowly his head was leaning back like this and fluid was running out of the wound uh Harry came in and said
uh he's not dead you have to shoot him in the heart do I shoot him in the heart I just picked up the gun I shot him in
the head again it was somewhere around in here again what happened with the weapons
they were on the floor in the car and I remember as I was the one that threw them
out we were on a on a bridge Harry had stopped on a bridge because I remember seeing the uh the rails and I I took
everything and I threw them over the rails now I I have no idea if this was a canal or a river or what it
was but that's where Harry stopped and he said throw him out here that's that's what I did what made you decide to tell
the truth I was convicted and sentenced it makes a big difference when you're looking at life
in prison and I realize that uh I'm taking the fall for everybody here you know I I wasn't the one that came up
with this idea you know I didn't put the whole thing together why didn't you tell the
truth before your trial well I wish I had I to be honest I didn't think they had any evidence which they didn't they
they couldn't put me in Florida or Barbara at the time they uh they had some bones but they didn't know how the
how the guy died you know I guess they never found his skull so they they couldn't see any you know bullet wounds
or anything um there were no Witnesses you know they had no evidence I think they
had with two Ex-Wives your mouth really convicted you it did yeah yeah right you
don't remember confessing to your wives no I don't but I was drinking a lot at the time what was your reaction when you
saw Nancy testify against you no I was upset I was upset when both the exes testified but I had to realize I I put a
lot of pressure on them uh just the fact that that they knew exactly what happened Al though I
don't remember telling them whatever I told them but I must have told them something because they had they had a
lot of information that's that's quite a weight to carry around I think it's like
an albatross around your neck and I I don't blame them for what they did Nancy told me she believes that you confessed
to her because it was eating you up inside it it probably was that's that's probably a good description of it I know
right after it happened I had a lot of nightmares was Barbara conflicted at all about this plot to kill David not that I
know of she didn't seem like she was upset one iota that David was gone out of the picture not a bit I think I was
probably more upset than she was just because I had done the deed myself you know I I realized I was the one that
pulled the trigger I understand that you know I should take the bulk of the uh of
the sentence here but still for her part she she's out walking free and I find that hard to believe do you
think she's just as culpable as you are for the murder of David Jackson yes she got away with murder yes she did
