In early 1998 Woodlawn High School senior Hae Min Lee started dated fellow classmate Adnan Syed. The two had a pretty serious relationship but by Christmas of that year the relationship was through. Hae broke things off with Adnan and then she started dating another guy. On January 13, 1999 - Hae Min Lee was reported missing by her family. Less than a month later her partially buried body was discovered in Leakin Park. In 2000 Hae’s former boyfriend Adnan Syed was convicted of her murder.
