my dad taught us to always be humble always so I never ever once told someone my dad is Casey Kasem ever that being
said I was extremely proud of him and hear his voice and it's my dad it's not a talent hit a beautiful voice it a
unique voice Casey Casey from Hollywood this is American top 40 I'm Casey Kasem we have 20 hits to go to the number one
song in the nation I think at one time his demographics were from 8 to 80 which is just unheard of today as I got older
I sort of understood wait a minute we're getting stopped in the mall we're getting stopped everywhere we go they
want his autograph they really really like him and then it was like oh cool that's really neat I was a pan I was a
fan of Scooby Doo yeah I watched Scooby Doo all the time and in my mind I'm like my dad
this night sticks you're doing he was proud of that character he was proud to be a DJ he was proud of cartoons he was
proud of being a voiceover and he loved radio I'll tell you something my dad said he
said why would I take a vacation I love what I do I love it makes me happy this was I think the happiest part of his
life was being at work or being with his family that's what we my dad happy [Music]
