when you look back who was Natalie Wood - America I think she was everybody's perfect
girl-next-door wife mom women loved her and men loved her she was very universal
in that way she had a great deal of warmth that you could see that she cared and that came across in her acting roles
came across in her films and I think that's what people reacted to and they watched her grow up they watched her
grow up absolutely she was never not on camera acting was her entire life she loved it she loved
everything about it she went through a period where she said she missed having a regular childhood but what that is a
regular childhood seriously you know everybody has the childhood that they experienced there was eight years
difference between the two of you how would you describe your relationship were you close
yes teasing bickering sharing the same room if my mom would get mad at her I would cry I was on the set with her
always as a child I attended studio school instead of being sent to school because my mom didn't have anybody to
watch me yes we were we were very close you grew up on the set along with your sister
it's all I knew that's all I know what do you think was the movie that really made her the biggest star oh well she
had know she had many that was the thing about Natalie is as a child it was Miracle on 34th Street rebel without a
cause which catapulted her into adult films instead of being the child you know I'm not going back in that zoo I'm
never going back West Side Story I see Rose Lane gypsy splendor in the grass which is my favorite many many films
over that over the years she always she managed to come in and strike that chord
and get vehicle that kept her in the public eye dearly beloved
