After serving his prison sentence, Roger Hueber was released on January 15, 2010, and registered as a sex offender four days later. Soon after, authorities said he violated his registration requirements by moving in with his new wife, Megan, and their baby without updating his address. He was later sentenced to five years of probation.
During that sentencing, the judge commented that, based on what he knew, Roger appeared to be "a good father" and chose not to send him back to jail.
