[Music] [Music] Mysteries [Music] Lexington Kentucky two suspects lead police on a
high-speed chase through the back roads of Kentucky they just robbed the gas [Applause]
[Music] station the the pursuit top speeds of 120 mph it ends suddenly when the suspects try to escape on
foot 23-year-old Jason Miller is caught immediately hands above your head but the second suspect Clayton
Wagner somehow manages to escape when authorities search Wagner's truck they're shocked by what they
find in the vehicle was gas cans half filled with gasoline a dummy hand grenade and
firearms and a list of uh abortion clinics on the East Coast Clayton Wagner used to be a
smalltime criminal but now he says that he's on a mission from God to kill abortionists authorities believe that
it's only a matter of time before Clayton Wagner carries out his threat Clayton Wagner is a very complex and
intelligent individual he's a Woodsman he used to own a computer company he's an car
thief he's an armed robber and at some point Clayton Wagner became involved in the anti-abortion
movement Wagner once told a reporter that he experienced a spiritual Awakening shortly after his daughter had
a miscarriage Wagner said that at one point he heard a voice he said God told him how can you mourn so much over this
one child when so many others are being killed and it all seems to start right there Wagner put together a list of
abortion clinics and their employees he carried surveillance equipment police scanners and guns as he
stalked over 100 clinics in 19 states he had been out for a Time stalking abortion clinics and trying to
work up the nerve to shoot an abortion doctor or one of their staff members he had people in his gun sits at
least three times and couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger Wagner vowed to pull the trigger
the next chance he got fortunately the police stopped him just in time Wagner his wife and eight children
were riding in a motor home when it broke down when a license blade check was done
it revealed that the motor home was stolen had a little problem earlier with the the starter I think is what when o
State Police Troopers indicated to him that he was going to have to conduct an interview with Wagner's family
don't drag her into she doesn't know anything about it and at that point Wagner immediately volunteered that the
vehicle was stolen that he was wanted and he did not want his family to get involved Wagner was arrested and taken
to jail in Clinton [Music] Illinois he began writing letters to the extremist anti-abortion movement looking
for support Reverend Donald Spitz responded he was an independent Pentecost the minister and founder of
the anti-abortion group The Army of God Clayton informed me that his life was totally committed to taking action
against the baby butes Clayton was disappointed and dejected because he was apprehended before he was able to
fulfill this Mission Wagner was convicted for car theft as well as Federal weapons
violations during and after the trial he made threats that were posted on an anti-abortion
website doesn't matter to me if you're a nurse receptionist or janitor if you work for a murderous abortionist I'm
going to kill you Wagner was determined to keep his word he began planning his prison
escape he happened to be put in only one of two cells that had this inside access
door to the Plumbing uh that was just by chance he just happened to uh at the luck of the draw end up with that
[Music] cell Wagner picked the lock on that access door with a comb police believe
Wagner deliberately lost weight so that he could squeeze into the crawl space above his cell from there he reached the
[Music] roof he jumped to an adjacent building and then dropped 15 ft to the ground Wagner ran to the nearby railroad
tracks and was gone Wagner knew what time the train went by he made statements to other
inmates that that was going to be his ride and I think he planned the escape to happen at a certain time so he could
jump on that train Master Control notified dispatch we got one [Music] missing we conducted uh searches of the
immediate area we uh set up roadblocks at all the exit points leaving the city of
Clinton Wagner remained out of sight for 2 days then police received a report that a man who looked like Wagner had
stolen a car from a nearby gas station but Wagner slipped away again as police swarmed the
[Music] area we don't know how Wagner got through that drag net Wagner has stated
that God has made him invisible I don't think God has made him invisible but obviously uh Clayton
Wagner is uh very good at [Music] disappearing in this surveillance video Wagner is seen robbing a Pennsylvania
bank 2 months later he made off with $4,700 in cash I almost couldn't believe it when I saw the photograph it appeared
that the person in the photograph was posing and smiling for the camera and there was no doubt in my mind it was
Clayton Wagner abortion clinics across the country were now on full alert they feared that Wagner would
finally follow through on his threats whether he shoots an abortion is dead or whether he does not shoot an abortion is
dead Clayton will be spending the rest of his life in in prison if he is apprehended so Clayton has nothing to
lose at this [Music] point update Cincinnati Ohio Clayton Wagner was captured by US
Marshals 10 months after he escaped an employee at a photocopy store recognized them from wanted posters and notified
authorities Wagner was arrested without incident he pleaded guilty to possession
of a firearm by a felon and Interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle among other
charges he is currently in prison and will be 87 years old before he is eligible for
release next UFO sightings in a New York City suburb a hoax or the Real Deal New York's Hudson River
Valley home to upscale professionals and retirees hardly the people you would expect to be swept up by UFO
fever yet that's exactly what happened to more than 5,000 residents UFO sightings in the Hudson
River Valley lasted 3 years ultimately the entire episode was dismissed as a hoax carried out by local stunt Pilots
even so many of the eyewitnesses are certain that what they saw was not just a couple of airplanes
Dennis Sant is a husband and father of five children he has worked in local government for 17 years he led a
perfectly normal life until March of 1983 and then his home in Brewster New York was the site of an extraordinary
[Music] event oh my God come on here and see this was a very large object the structure of
it was very dark gray metallic almost girder type looking what is it I don't know girls girls come out here and see
this the object seemed to be very silent the lights were iridescent bright uh they stood out in the sky and a three
dimension it looked like a city of Lights just hung in the sky of all brilliant colors
we followed the object around to the backyard and at that point a feeling of fright Came Upon
me thoughts started to flood my mind thoughts of The Craft touching ground thoughts of an encounter with an alien
being thoughts of uh being abducted all types of fearful thoughts started to enter into my mind and it seemed only to
be seconds before the object started to move again but the feelings were overwhelming a few miles away traffic
screeched to a halt on Interstate 84 the mysterious object hovered overhead the Hudson Valley sightings had
only just [Music] begun one week later Newcastle Police Officer Andy St off was on routine
Patrol I was working a 400 p.m. to midnight tour and assigned to set up some radar to look for speeding
cars and I looked up into the sky and saw a series of lights and at first I thought it was a
plane it was quite a distance quite far away but it was it was really quite large as I recall there were mostly
white lights but there were green lights also it was alternating green and white
lights it approached my vehicle and as it approached the vehicle it it stopped and it seemed to
hover and I'm looking at this thing like thinking what is it I wasn't afraid I was just amazed I
was in awe of it I didn't know what it was the thing that I recall the most as I was amazed that there was no noise
there was no humming there was no engine there was no sound it was absolutely silent unit 6 to base could you please
send somebody else I'm observ deserving something incredible just seconds later the Eerie
silence was broken by another eyewitness report it's heading towards town I'm following
it that was about the time that it started to move and it moved very slowly almost floated I guess I was mostly
curious as to what it could be I was spending most of my time trying to figure out why there was no noise coming
out of this thing and we followed it we followed it until it disappeared off into the Hills
at virtually the same time Ed Burns a computer engineer and Senior manager for IBM was driving home on the tonic
Parkway 10 Mi north of Officer soff's location out of nowhere I got a lot of static on the radio I thought maybe I
was on the wrong number and then I went over to turn the dial again and that's when and I looked up and saw this
craft it was a triangular ship and the back had to be as large as a football field at
least it was truly a flying City if that's the way you want to call it I mean it was huge and there was no
noise Ed pulled off the highway and joined a group of people who had stopped they were all staring at the sky guy
stunned have you ever seen anything so huge I'm not into astronomy uh Mars I mean I don't know the solar systems but
what I had witnessed that night was not from this planet officer sof and at least 12
others saw it in Newcastle at Burns and at least 20 drivers saw it near Milwood 10 minutes later the phones began
ringing off the hook in the Yorktown Police Station 10 minutes after that Yorktown PD officer wolf no we've had
several reports everything is under control every line kept going every single line constantly I answer the
phone another line would light up I answer the next line another line would light up about it sir there's really
nothing in work please hold sir got to the point and I got a call of the conic Parkway being stopped the people were
all out in the cars um it was starting to get really crazy go ahead s I'll be uh
cuz I tried calling the cars to find out if they saw anything and the only one that called with the cars was uh Kevin
said that he would stop in officer Kevin sorilla also saw the lights reported by
dozens of Yorktown residents the object was extremely large I estimated to be close to 300 to 400 yd
wide we stood out in front facing to the North in approximately about 5 minutes we did the object began to appear from
the northern Horizon look at that thing man unbelievable Officer William wolf was
standing next to sorilla yet they saw two completely different things it's got to be a group of planes
or something I don't think so yeah I think I see a wing in there I don't think so they don't look like planes
officer sorilla was convinced that he saw a large object with a number of small lights I was say approximately 16 18
lights running in a V formation approximately 200 to 400 yards wide I was staring in between the lights to see
any type of a solid structure where he may have basically been staring at the lights
themselves but officer wolf had a completely different impression be a group of planes or something I they look
like airplanes to me I say I says you know I live near an airport so I see these airplanes every
day so as they were coming over he says well you can't hear anything I said listen but that when we started hearing
a drone it wasn't one big solid unit but it if you looked at it for like a couple
of minutes or even a fraction as it was coming over I could see where some people would have gotten
upset a fiery debate began when the news spread about the sightings many said they were nothing more than small planes
flying in a tight formation however this Theory did not satisfy many of those who
had actually seen the UFOs next two dramatic Home Videos one seems proof of a hoax good God the other
proof of something all too [Music] real thousands of people say they saw you UFOs in New York's Hudson River
Valley over a 3-year period in the early 80s they saw either wed shaped light formations or something like this
circular object but there were others who have a surprisingly different Theory they say the unusual lights were
nothing more than small planes flying in a rigid formation is anywhere from upwards of uh
7 to 10 aircraft that do fly around in formation and this is visible from our Tower Anthony kaliy had been an air
traffic controller for almost 10 years he saw something in the summer of 1983 that he thought would settle the
UFO controversy once and for all or so it seems that over Stormville the uh first time time I
observed the formation flying it looked a little peculiar there's a B6 aircraft cent in
formation and from our vantage point in the tower they just appear to be one big
light because they are flying in tight formation I don't think if this formation flew over an individual's head
at 1,000 ft if there's any way you can misdiagnose it for anything but the formation flying due to the sound of the
aircraft engines and imagine at 1,000 ft you could really determined that it's aircraft but not everyone
agrees the UFO was surely seen before these hster Pilots uh began their night flights after these hoers began their
night flights people would call me up who had seen the UFO on previous dates and said well I saw something strange in
the sky but it wasn't the same thing that I saw a week before holy good God what do you think I
don't know not I'll be I'm going to tell you something honey I don't know what the
hell it is Bob Puli took this Home Video in July 1984 Philip in brono is convinced it
shows a UFO West it has been looked at by a number of photographic experts who indicate that the movement of the object
on the video seems to be one rigid object not individual objects plus there were hundreds and hundreds of witnesses
who saw the UFO and said it was something strange but the night that the airplanes were seen there were also
dozens of witnesses who said in fact that they did see airplanes Bob Puli also shot this a
month earlier Skeptics and Believers all agree that it shows a squadron of small planes
flying in formation bre you hear the engines if you look at that video you can see see
that the lights are shifting position and relation to each other the fellow who videotaped it is talking about he
can hear the engines he can see the stars as the object is passing over him a matter of fact when that videotape was
made of the airplanes no one came forward to say they had seen a UFO people called me and said they had seen
airplanes flying in formation but the night of the UFO sighting when the videotape was made I had hundreds of
phone calls to different telephone lines of people who had in fact seen a uo so what is the truth about the
Fantastic light formations in the sky above the Hudson River Valley I personally think that it was an
airplane or people who were playing games trying to get a rush out of making people feel hey there's somebody from
another world here if it was Ultra Lights I'm a little uh Amazed by the Precision flying I I
have to see it again to believe it I'm not too sure I'm not too sure about this was one of those moments in
my time that made a very dramatic impression upon me what I saw was not ples in formation there was no shaking or
movement of any of the lights it was perfectly still you know I'm not trying to say what it was I don't know what it
was I know it wasn't an airplane I tell the story a lot to certain friends that I can trust that'll
believe me I mean my wife I think believes me boy I'll tell you I'll never forget that as long as I
live and five airplanes it was not when we filmed the story we asked the stunt pilots who supposedly carried
out the hoax to recreate one of their flights they declined two-thirds of the sightings took place when the stunt
Pilots weren't even flying so if they weren't in the air who was coming up a woman refuses to give up
hope that she'll find her husband after he mysteriously [Music] disappears our next two stories are
about two happily married couples who were mysteriously separated Clintonville Wisconsin and by the power
V we recently told you the story of Christine Reinhardt who believed that she had finally found the man of her
dreams she and Craig Williamson got married just a month after they met Craig you kiss your
away the newlyweds were inseparable they bought a farm in Wisconsin where they began raising
exotic fish to sell to Gourmet Restaurants but Christine reinhardt's perfect world
was torn apart just 3 years later Craig drove to Colorado Springs on a business trip and never
returned Christine began a heartbreaking 18-month search for Craig she traveled to Colorado
Springs posted Flyers uh searching for my husband who's been missing for quite some time his name isig Williamson uh
this is where your husband she even went to the hotel where Craig was last seen I
know he's alive and I know someday I'll find him the trouble is I don't know when and I just have to keep hanging on
the hardest part is hanging on update after seeing himself on our program Craig Williamson called
Christine the phone rang and he said hello Christine this is Craig it didn't really sound like him he sounded like a
shell of himself it it from what phrases he used and things like that I knew it was Craig but his voice was really oh
very weak and uh and I was just shaking I was I was in total shock when I saw this whole thing on Unsolved Mysteries I
realized that I was Craig Williamson but I didn't know who Craig Williamson was I
didn't have a clue to who he was I knew that he had a family someplace um uh I knew that he was
married I didn't know that he had a fish farm I didn't know a lot Craig had been
suffering from severe Amnesia painful headaches and frequent blackouts for 2 years he was now living in Key West
Florida and going by the name of Ron all he could remember was that he had been attacked by a stranger while in Colorado
Springs Christine took Craig back to the A area where he had disappeared they hoped that a visit
might J his memory does that look at all familiar to you it doesn't it doesn't it looks
familiar from the unsolved mystery segment but nothing it doesn't I there's nothing here I feel nothing no
attachment to it so no it doesn't except for Craig didn't remember any of it the
reunion Christine had dreamed of ended in a Bittersweet party neither Craig nor I are the same people we were 2 years
ago before all of this happened we're still very good friends and we're always going to stay connected
but we can't go back he's not there he doesn't have any sort of emotional attachment anymore and I just have to
accept that we are not the same people we still love each other we still care for each other but we've decided it's
best for us to go our separate ways you take good care of yourself I love to take care of yourself too everything
I've done has been worth it the search all the effort that I've put into trying to find Craig was worth it I would do it
all over again Craig Williamson is now living with friends in California Christine has
moved to Wyoming to get a fresh [Music] start Philadelphia Pennsylvania Je and Judy Smith are new
Lee Woods on vacation from their home in Boston they are mixing business with pleasure while Jeff attends a legal
conference Judy does some sightseeing they agree to meet back at their hotel at 5:00
p.m. Judy so I got back to the hotel room about 5:30 and she wasn't there and by about
6:30 I was starting to get worried she was somebody who believed in being absolutely on time Jeff contacts
hospitals and the police he also visits the places she had planned to go that day but there is no sign of
[Music] Judy Judy and Jeff had been married only 5 months when she disappeared Judy was is caring loving
responsible and someone I love deeply I thought that my mom didn't know who she was and was lost in a city
and you know that was horrible to think on the day she vanished Jeff said Judy left the hotel around 900 in the
morning as always she took her trademark red backpack 8 hours later she still hadn't
returned to the [Music] hotel the Philadelphia police found no sign of Judy Jeff returned to Boston
from there he faxed and mailed 9,000 Flyers up and down the Eastern Seaboard he also hired three private
investigators I was fearful that something had happened to her but I actually believed that I would be able
to find her it was mindboggling I just couldn't figure out what could have happened to
her Asheville North Carolina 700 mil from Philadelphia 5 months after Judy vanished a father and son were hiking
when they found a partially buried [Music] skeleton our victim was a white female
probably in her late 4 40s to mid-50s the pathologist report indicates that there's punch rooms and cuts on the
bra which could be consistent with stab LS police requested Judy's dental records after seeing Jeff's missing
flyers in the area forensics confirmed that they were the remains of Judy Smith I was shocked I guess you always
anticipate that your parent will die but not early we always talked about when I
would have kids and and looking forward to that day and um I guess I just never thought that she
wouldn't be there for that the information came that the dental records matched and my first reaction was I
didn't believe it no one could understand how Judy ended up so far away from Philadelphia authorities found Judy's
diamond wedding ring and $167 in in cash at the crime scene and concluded that robbery was not the
[Music] motive police had another clue four eyewitnesses in Asheville claimed to have seen Judy just days
after she vanished hi there hi can I help you find anything she seemed very alert to me she was very
pleasant I didn't see anything about her that would indicate that she wasn't right in any
way where you from I'm from Boston oh I love she told me her husband was an attorney that they had been in
Pennsylvania and she decided to come down here if Judy left Philadelphia on her own free will the question was
why at the time this happened Jeff and Judy's marriage was very tenuous I believe that something did happen that
triggered her to want to have some time away from Jeff I brought you some flowers it's sort of U I'm not going to
try to suggest that she and I never had a disagreement but I believe she was happy
with her life at this point she loved Jeff and you don't you don't do that to someone that you love it doesn't make
sense that my mom would leave Philadelphia it doesn't make sense that she would be found in Asheville if she
did leave the only thing I can think is maybe she something happened to her before she had time to
call investigators found two Clues suggesting what might have happened to Judy we found a blue and black backpack
at the crime scene I believe that it potentially belongs to our suspect there was a pair of sunglasses
there we believe that these glasses did not belong to Judith and that they potentially belong to our
suspect North Carolina investigators still have no IDE idea why Judy Smith was killed if you have any information about

[Music] coming up victim join a college class called Murder 101 where wouldbe detectives help police solve an actual
homicide [Music] San Francisco California a prosperous businessman who supplies noodles to Chinatown
restaurants is stabbed to death for the sfpd it is case File 931 861 31 current status
unsolved the detective in charge was desperate the police were left with no leads so he took an unusual step he
opened his case files to a class of college students who were studying forensic science who knows maybe they could
help good morning so you want to be homicide detectives huh were a ballet teacher a housewife
and several writers San Francisco police inp Spector Apprentice Sanders briefed the students
on the case let me introduce you to your [Music] victim 43-year-old Jen Fang owned two
noodle [Music] factories shortly after midnight on December 18th Jen left work he offered a
ride home to an employee Mrs ye son they exited the building and got into Mr Fang
van Mr Fang did not notice that his window was broken and he drove about [Music]
ft according to Mrs ye the two young men spoke in fluent cantones they demanded the money where is the
money the man with the gun struck Mrs ye demanding that she not turn around nor look the terrifying episode lasted more
than 30 minutes the two men ripped apart the van's interior they said over and over again the money the
[Music] money when Mr fank fought back he was stabbed directly in the heart inspector Sanders arrived at the scene
around 1:30 a.m. what do you have uh trying to get some fingerprints on the crime scene
technicians found no fingerprints but the murder weapon had been left behind in the van we found the knife a
regular cheap Kitchen steak knife and and it was very worn as if it had been washed a 100 times or
more authorities also found this BB gun Mrs y said it had been used in the attack we're now open for questions just
before class began to look deeper into the case history one of the things that keeps bothering me is the murder Weapon
It's a Cheesy little kitchen knife looks all worn out and if I was going to go get serious with somebody I wouldn't
take a beat up old kitchen knife have you checked to see if that kind of cheap knife that was used is used at any of
the restaurants where he has clients what do his personal and business bank record show any recent large money that
went in and out that's an excellent question and I tell you why inspector Sanders told the class
what he knew about Mr Fang's daily activities hello tantai hello how are you Fang's wife sometimes went with him
as he collected money from his customers he usually re received about $11,000 in
cash $300 good price best price in the city every time you come in your price goes
up you $300 I have a hard time with the thought that Mr Fang made the routes himself
collecting the receipts and collecting the money if there wasn't something else involved for him doing this as a
successful businessman why wouldn't he have somebody else do that thought has cross my mind is it that he is Frugal or
is it that there is something else going on in fact there was something else going
[Music] on Sanders had received the mysterious phone call 3 weeks after the slang who's
this informed advised that Mr Fang was in fact an avid Gambler and that that was likely the
motive for his murder rather than Petty Robert this week should be even better I
want to put 20,000 on the Dallas gate that's four times what you do that last week the informant claimed that on the
day of his death Mr Fang had collected at least $25,000 in cash that $ 25,000 it was an extremely promising
lead however none of the information could be verified and Sanders found himself back at square
one to do some of their own investigating the students hit the streets my scenario the thing was that
somebody that on his route uh he had a bet with he won the money from the person on the route the person on the
route was very ticked off that he lost lost the money uh sent somebody out there to get the money back and in the
process killed him I sort of think it's some gang wnab bees new immigrants to the country doesn't seem to fit to me
the traditional um sort of signature if you will of of the Chinese gangs in Chinatown well what about your dad I
know he worked in Chinatown when he had Carol lellan had questioned a friend who
was a longtime Chinatown resident I think the Vietnamese uh gangs are very different she learned that many
Vietnamese immigrants can speak Cantonese and may be eager to prove themselves to longtime gang
members hello tantai hello how are you maybe some young wannabes thought this guy has money they noticed that he has
jewelry he's kind of a high roller by the clo that he wears and they thought he would be a good Mark give me 100b 100
lb another student Nick Doby proposed a completely different scenario I think Mr Fang's as salance um
knew Mr Fang knew his routine I think Mr Fang was into gambling in a very high level and they overheard Mr Fang either
taking or making a large bit they knew that he was going to collect a large sum of money they suspected that he had that
money that day they were disappointed and surprised when they found out that he didn't have it on him and when he
started struggling that's when they killed [Music] him Dolby may have been on to something
after the class was over Sanders received another anonymous phone call this caller also said that Mr Fang's
death was tied to gambling Sanders believes the tip was credible but only time and further investigation
will allow police to close in on the killers of ginf fang if you have any information about
