didn't come up until like I was here for 10 minutes and also he comes running around the corner I got one guy in here

to come and check him out he tried to bail out apparently lost control so that's it
guess he has to um he had a few tickets uh recently and didn't want to get another one so he was kind of scared
stupid thing to do it's not going anywhere now and he'll get a ticket on top actually for him they're just going to
check him out because he fell off his bike they just want to make sure that he has no injuries he didn't want to see
one actually but just to be on the safe side here never know adrenaline in size so
just going to check him out I don't think there's any problems like he's able to walk very decent face so
just a few doses and catch you'd rather you you drop the bike at his place instead of Towing it back to
the yard I think his uh his papers are all in order I guess he got a few tickets recently just didn't want to get
another one so he has some monies in the Avenue and so I was just going to check him out
doesn't seem to be too serious okay okay [Music] um [Music] status is unlicensed Ultra motor vehicle
it's not oh we checked it yeah well you check again and there's a computer I'm giving you a ticket anyway okay yeah
okay no driver's license hundred dollar fine yes there's instructions on reverse
the ticket on how to pay it yes or dispute it yes um yeah like you said if the computer is wrong
you dispute it and you shouldn't have any problems but the computer is telling us that you don't have any driver's
license right now last weekend I got a treatment I could pull over same thing and the
first time the computer told the policeman that I didn't have a license checked again and the second time
I did yes if the computer is wrong then you won't have to pay it but that's like you'll
have to dispute it at that time okay all the instructions on the reverse of your
ticket there okay okay good doesn't happen very often but we do get sometimes to talk to francophones in
this case this guy was francophones born in Quebec and uh it's kind of nice to be
able to speak or relate with him in the same language basically admitted to being faulty here
and like I said he's suffering twice because he's getting a ticket plus his bike's damage so he's lucky he didn't
get more injured got a call here for a car fire cost to be a stolen car the way it's come in it looks like it's
abandoned here as soon find out I'll run the plate number here with the PPD and they'll put it through their
terminal and see if it is stolen right now we're just walking the captain and see what they have
really stick your hand in the room now you can really smell gas oh definitely yeah okay
okay camera oh yeah see right here on the sheets [Music] okay we'll take one for a sample tough
smelling acid sure that's good okay all the windows were gone except that one and this one
we took them out so I'm boiling out when you got here then cool she was uh okay did they get back on the plate yet I
don't know no they haven't got back to me okay the crew noticed that when he came here
was Burning uh quite well out of most of the windows they did break the back one
they said but the rest of them were all broken out when they got here uh even now 10 minutes out of the fire there's
still a definitely smell of gasoline in the oregano or an accelerant in this vehicle so we by that we know that it is
an awesome fire and they could say the plates are come up momentarily the VPD that if it is stolen
good you tear this seat open yeah oh let's use right there yeah yeah right now uh definitely
anyway okay yeah no problem I want the trunk cap I wonder if it's worth punching it over I don't know cars
pulled anyway 73 over [Applause] here just just a further update we have found three two liter plastic bottles two of
them still being partially full of gasoline uh the rest have been burnt but we have two here that are still full of
a gasoline or accelerant product over so just as a further update what we found here out of their car here
we uh no we can tear it apart to make sure it's out we found several plastic two
liter bottles here of uh looks like your basic culture pop bottle filled up gasoline
[Applause] we'll be turning these over to the VPD when they arrive and to see if they can
get prints off them without the only thing left to the vehicle that we will be able to get
prints off of it looks like thank you what is the phone number so is it for sale yeah interesting
let me uh try that stay here wires or something yeah but look at what the materials getting ripped out of it
um it's around here too and then two if I want five one two three nine one um car 73 over
here just dispatching the back of this car the engine 20 have just found a for sale
sign with a number in it if you could maybe run this telephone number and see if they know where their vehicle is if
this is their vehicle it's two five one two three one over [Applause] it's a shame to see cars like just
stolen uh we've seen most of the far the car fires we go to are stolen cars some
people seem to enjoy riding them and and uh leaving them this way it seems a shame obviously we all pay for it at
times we find uh we research a little further or the place we start to we find that people are three or four months
behind on their payments and the car is also uh restoratively burn up beside the Dell hotel and we found
somebody that couldn't make it home oh [Music] [Music] come on open up police come on open up

approximately six years here in the city three of which were in The Dispatch Center dealing with the 911 calls and
dispatching the units to the various calls and transferring that out onto the street here working in east Vancouver uh
heading to uh these tastings around Nanaimo area for a fellow male or female we don't know
we're not sure of who's apparently down in front of a business it's routine so he's apparently
moving and breathing and talking to people there along the sidewalk so we'll just go see him and see if he's
got a medical problem or stored or maybe get them up on his way or transport him or maybe even the police
maybe have to be involved for him did you fall him did he did he fall down yeah hey bud

laying down in the street people call up they're not sure what's going on she's sleeping they can be shot stabbed
overdose hit by a car or anything so we'll come along after dispatch's assess the call roll up check the patient out
in this case he's just walking along laid down to sleep the store uh store owners were concerned and called us
we'll do this a lot this is a big part of the job they want to get hit by a car now right
okay have a seat we'll wait here for the wagon all right and sit down sit down on the sidewalk John

sorry oh he's clutching the whole time throwing the wrists show me their hand John
yeah I have to tell you that we're gonna give you a ride you don't want to sleep on the street
now let's go to the place to sleep he might be out of there he's gonna sleep and detox okay

what's your toes Don's off to detox for a few hours to uh sober up and get his head cleaned up and
cleared up and he'll be back on the street uh three or four hours give or take hopefully feeling better and uh not
sleeping on the sidewalk here in east Vancouver okay uh looks like Delta uh Delta PD had a Chase
and they've chased that vehicle into the Surrey area so uh what happens is now the Surrey
RCMP will pick up the Chase and delto break off so we're just heading over there to
assist on that we've got a light blue Pontiac with expired plates so far that's all
I've got for details other than that I don't know why we're chasing it where did Chase initiate from
actually 72nd and uh probably 91. holy smokes all the way through Delta and then in here eh yeah
oh yeah and the parked her in the driveway and I didn't want to hit him so uh so I had three three in the car
and and they got it and you caught everybody on the front seat hopped in with us you
can always do this whole lot to her and my friends well who's the guy that picked you up buddy of yours or what
just some guy here so you picked him up 72 and 91. so we're started what was uh where we pull the
motor for well he was uh he was northbound on 91 and I watched him go through the uh through the red light
72nd oh so you burn the lady yeah so I pulled up behind them and uh from 72nd right through to Nordell yeah he was
just going at a slow speed he wouldn't wouldn't pull over for me but then I hit the lights or hit the
siren after we turned on to Nordell Northbound and he pulled over so when I get out of the car after
getting my 69 position I walked up to a car and he took off [Music] but he's not a very good driver so it
was easy now all right so we got two damaged pcs one from Delta and one from Canada
nice so this Chase initiates on Highway 91 and 72nd where this car goes through a
red light and a member tries to hold the vehicle over but he doesn't stop he pulls up onto nordale way and the
officers got on all his Emergency Equipment he eventually pulls over and when the member calls in his position
and gets out of the vehicle and approaches it the car takes off again and the chase ensues from there goes in
through Delta and Delta's notified at that point and they they take over the Chase and then when it comes back into
the rcmp's territory here in Surrey then we're notified and then we take over the
chase but it all ends up falling back in the lap of the fellow who initiated it but it turns out that we've got three
different detachments involved here and the the car is uninsured I don't know if
the Plate's stolen and or the car stolen or not but he's got the safety spare on
the back of the car he doesn't even have a a proper Tire on it and as a result of this there's two
police cars that are damaged one from Delta and freeway car as well our CMP car and all the bad guys are in custody
okay we'll just um I want to put your bike down for a minute [Music] you're running into a couple things
tonight [Music] as soon as I have a seat in my car for a minute Joe okay just come over here and
have a seat in my car just have a seat in the car just relax and talk to me here because you're drunk right now okay
that gives me reason to detain you here okay minutes here saw him run into a wall
earlier on it and um now he's run into another wall at least on his bicycle appears to be pretty intoxicated so I'm
just checking him out here to see if he has any warrants um see if he's going to be able to make
it home safely or not it doesn't look at this point like he is going to be so we'll see what we're going to do with
him from there okay you want to step out of the car for a minute let's turn around put your hands back
behind your back no behind your back behind your back buddy okay just under arrest for being drunk
in public no I always crashed twice movie or what okay you're under arrest right now from being drunk in a public

if you can get in the car and he's just trying to keep her away from the car and he and she's been
hitting him and everything and he doesn't want anything to do with it he hasn't been he hasn't been abusing her
in any way really that I know once anyway okay and he gave me the keys because he did not want her to have them
and he okay they're right there yeah you're more than welcome to help thank you where is he right now he's in
the he's in the apartment up there yeah there's no problem here but he doesn't want to come down and he
doesn't want anything to do with this okay and that's why I came down because I wanted to clear it up so that you guys
didn't have you know I'm sure there's more something else going on in the city that's more important than this so
what's going to happen over here I can go talk to her and see if I can get her so I came into this part way she
wanted to drive home kind of thing is that what the problem is exactly she wants to go somewhere and I I'm I'm kind
of the middle man and I just want to I just want to Mellow everybody else out and uh get her calmed down okay what we
have here is a woman who's intoxicated and her boyfriend doesn't want her to drive
we're just going to check the registration here I want to know who she is and she doesn't want to tell us and
she's claiming not to have identification the uh registration shows an up country address
and I'd say with all the sleeping bag and equipment in the back that that's probably accurate
four thank you everything's fine we just we have an intoxicated female here that's all
uh I would say from the sleeping bag and other things in the back that she's not
local here yeah [Music] well that's how we got really here is uh couple of responsible people preventing
someone from making a mistake that's the problem with that I'll give keys back to him so
yeah she's walking away there she just responding to a serious head-on collision
not uh 139 and 108. right now we're responding what we call code tree that's a North L Emergency
Equipment as we are the First Responders in this case we have to attend with all diligence in
case there's injuries I'm an accident here at 139 now what kind of car is he driving
what kind of on foot he's on foot he's wearing a white shirt he's Gandhi it is stolen vehicle accident uh
it's a stolen vehicle sorry it's a stolen vehicle the ignition's been punched I'm just going to turn it off you'll
need a screwdriver to turn this one off the vehicle's stolen and what I'm doing right now is just turning the vehicle
off so that the engine doesn't burn over the only guy involved doesn't really want to stick around he's uh possibly
drunk but it's stolen so okay have a good night what we've got here is a report of an accident by two witnesses
they observed a male driving the blue Sundance swerve off the road and hit a telephone
pole knocking the Pole right down and then flee the scene running Northbound on 140th Street the vehicle
as it turns out is stolen the ignition has been stripped out and they started with a screwdriver
we've turned the engine off now so that there won't be any fire damage and the fire department is dealing with the
spilled oil we have a police dog attending and attempting to track the mail and other officers in the area
patrolling looking for him right now this is the light standard pole that the young driver hit as he lost control of
the vehicle obviously his driving skills are quite lacking and from the damage to the vehicle and
to the pole he's extremely lucky to be able to walk away from this accident let alone run away and flee the scene
I have attended several accidents that have been a lot less in damage to vehicles and the injury to
people have been quite considerable this young lad driving the stolen vehicle quite recklessly is very lucky
to be walking at this point [Music] foreign [Music]
