Connecticut investigators believe fotus doulos had brought a bicycle with him and used it to bike the last three miles
to Jennifer's house that night fotus doulos was captured on surveillance video dumping black garbage bags into
public trash cans his living girlfriend Michelle tronus was in the truck with him detectives went digging through the
trash days later some of the things retrieved were used zip ties with uh human blood and DNA of Jennifer doulos
on them um female undergarments a Vineyard Vine shirt in the size that Jennifer wore investigators brought
Michelle in for questioning do you know it was in the bag no my my mind it's always like constru things even maybe I
don't know the cleaning from the house I don't know and you're saying she had no
idea what was in those bags that vus was getting rid of she not only did not know
what was in those bags she had no idea what he was actually doing he had invited her to go out to Starbucks
practically the entire time she's on either WhatsApp texting or making phone calls during that whole time Michelle
was seen leaning out of the truck and prosecutors believe that she was purposely giving cover to photus while
he dumped two altered license plates down the sewer while they open the door at the exact same time conveniently at
the right time to block the view from the tan car she told investigators it was an innocent gesture but you're
actually leaning out at one point of the car no I told him I I lean I had a chewing gun I took it I spit it I spit
it okay and my hand got sticky and I went like this Michelle would ultimately be charged with conspiracy to commit
murder and covering it up this defendant was undoubtedly part of this plan to kill Jenifer dulos there's no if ANS or
buts about it the trial against Michelle tronus began nearly 5 years after Jennifer doulos vanished in four years
after fotus dlos killed himself in court prosecutor showed these bloody clothes for the first time I think it was really
important that they did that we had seen photographs of that evidence so I knew what it looked like but being in the
same space the same space and time as Jennifer's clothes just really drove home that she's not here fotus employee
Pavo gumen was the prosecution's star witness he was the owner of that red Tacoma which he says fotus took without
permission when he asked for his truck back he says fotus told him that Michelle had the keys she takes the keys
to the Toyota Tacoma to prevent Pavel from taking the car for the weekend after all they need more time they
haven't gone to the car wash yet Michelle eventually returned with the keys and paval took his truck home 5
days after Jennifer disappeared fotus took the old beat up Tacoma to the car wash and Michelle met him there you can
eat off the floorboards in this truck that's how clean it was by the time we got it then fotus urged paval to remove
the front two seats of the Tacoma and find replacements pavl who was later given
immunity removed the seats kept them and later handed them over to police on the
passenger seat there was a blood likee stain on the on the fabric of the seat which was cut out tested at the lab and
it came back to Jennifer dulos's DNA blood and that was Paramount for this investigation
after six weeks of testimony Michelle tronus was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder but one question is still
unanswered where are Jennifer's remains and that's what's the most painful we don't know we don't know where she is do
you think you ever will I don't know
