When investigators examined Alberta O. Jones' rental car, they found what appeared to be a significant amount of evidence. Blood covered much of the back seat, fingerprints were found throughout the vehicle, and hair samples were recovered from inside.
Investigators also found Alberta's upper dentures, a torn newspaper, and pieces of red brick, some reportedly stained with blood. Yet despite the amount of physical evidence recovered, the case remained unsolved.
