Richard Schlesinger on investigating unusual murder case | Forensic Files

In most cases we cover, the police are pretty sure they know who did it, and the suspects are absolutely sure if they
did it or not. But the case that we're covering now that began in this tiny studio apartment near Washington DC is
not like most cases we cover. Here's what happened in a nutshell. Three successful young people, Rahul Gupta,
his girlfriend Taylor Gold, and their mutual friend Mark Wah came to this apartment after a night of drinking.
They were celebrating Rahul's 24th birthday. Rahul and Taylor lived here. Within about an hour, Mark Wall is
dead, stabbed to death on the floor, and the and the apartment is splattered with
blood all over the place. Police officer who got here first said he'd never seen
anything like it. Rahul confessed, said that he had stabbed Mark because he thought that he and Taylor were having
an affair behind his back. A couple hours later, Rahul and Taylor are at the police station. Rahul is now backing
away from his confession. And here's where it gets interesting. They ask Taylor, "Did you do it, Taylor? Did you
do it? Did you stab Mark Wah?" And she said, "I don't know. I I don't know why I would have." She didn't say no.
Neither one of these people could tell the police what happened because they said they were both so drunk they didn't
remember. And the way this case got solved is fascinating and it'll leave some questions in your mind and it's not
like most cases we
