In a farmer's field in Fort Thomas, Kentucky back in 1896, a little boy made a horrific discovery of the body of a headless woman. The identity of the woman remained unidentified but the story certainly escalated headlines in the press like “Hunt for the Head” and “Headless Horror.” This horrific unsolved murder would go on to inspire a bizarre tourist attaction for travelers to collect bloody souvenirs. It also serves as the inspiration for a popular song that has been recorded dozens of times. Sarah Bryan [http://sarah-bryan.com/] talks to us about the true story behind the murder ballad, and the band Elephant Micah [http://www.elephantmicah.com/] performs an original arrangement.
