Jane Toppan, AKA "Jolly Jane", is one of the most notorious female serial killers in history. She had a long, successful career as a nurse in Boston. She earned the name, "Jolly Jane" for being cheerful, funny and excellent work with her patients. But the reality was she was the most notorious woman poisoner in modern times, killing at least 35 people. She was committed to the Taunton Insane Asylum.
