when I heard there was a murder-mystery in wine country even before I learned many of the details I jumped at the
chance to do the story after all Napa Valley is a special place for me it's where my husband and I came for our
honeymoon after we got married nearly 25 years ago and I'd imagine it's a romantic spot for a lot of people I mean
just look at this place who wouldn't want a piece of this and that's what these two men wanted but it ended in
murder so we came here to the Napa Valley to figure out what happened and what we discovered is is a twist no less
than four people thought that they also could have been the targets of the killer could have been me running
through the vineyard ducking from flying bullets I think I was probably number one on his list to kill you think he
would have killed you too oh yeah my first thought was that could have very easily been Gregg what do you think
would have happened if you were there I think he would have killed me a lawyer a
private eye a contractor a wine writer even a prince of the wine country all potential victims
these folks are what this tale is really about yes it's easy to see the beauty of
wine country but the fascinating part of this story for me is the people we met who worked hard to get here and we're
living the dream and had all of that threatened by one very charming and dangerous man what they told us and what
it says about big dreams and trust and betrayal is what made me think this is a story worth telling you could say it's
like a great bottle of wine a little intoxicating and very complex and we hope you'll watch Saturday on 48 hours
