Diving Into Questions About Our River SEARCH 👀 #crimejunkies | Forensic Files

[music] >> When we first got that tip in, I mean, honestly, it felt a little bit like I
was mad at myself that I didn't find it because the image was from 2005. It feels like it was just like sitting
there. But then I'm also like, why didn't police find this? Again, if you've seen the image, it looks so much
like a car that like I don't like to get my hopes up so high, but it was hard to
not do that with this one. So, once we get this tip in, our director of reporting, Courtney Stewart, she worked
really closely with with me on this case. Obviously, the first thing we did was take this to IMPD. We wanted to see
had they searched that area, did they want to go search that area? Like, what We didn't want to mess anything up. What
do they want us to do? So, we got in touch with them, made sure they had everything, gave them a while to see if
they wanted to do something on their own. And once we knew we were okay, then we contacted someone who could dive. We
didn't want to just go into the water. That is dangerous, people. So, we wanted to get with somebody who knew what they
were doing, which is when we contacted Chaos Divers. And they were like the perfect people to do this because they
did an entire video years ago about Bonnie's case. They'd searched a bunch of bodies of water looking for her. We
went out to the river, and when we actually found something, the first thing we did was call IMPD again to see
what they wanted us to do with it, to make sure that we were not going to be like tampering with something that could
be potential evidence. Honestly, like I said, I saw that image and I thought it had to be a car, but there was also part
of me that's like, there's no way. Like, we're going to go out there, we're going
to you know, do the best we can, but there's no way we actually find something. So, this was a huge shock to
me.
