I walked out of my office um around noon uh and regular day my car was parked across the street U I'm
about um I can see the courthouse from my office and I walked outside and uh I saw um someone who I recognized to be a
clincy police office officer who I recognized from I had seen before that was detective that that's who I then
Learned was detective Gibson I I walked out he was standing by my car uh I believe I reached out
to um shake his hand um and uh he told me to put my hands on my car and then put my hands behind my back and he told
me that I was had been arrested has you know anything about his investigation or or the eight doctors he
spoken to I I I knew I knew nothing uh I was I was handcuffed I was placed in um a police car and uh they
told you to investigating the murder of Cory L well they they they told me that i' had been indicted for the murder of
Cory L A and you told him exactly what you remember right I told him what I remembered um
I really I think in my mind I thought that they would listen and and somehow that this would not happen that they
wouldn't continue with it and um I told them multiple times that I had nothing to do with Cory's St

In March 2017, Curtis Lovelace took the stand in his second trial for the 2006 murder of his first wife, Cory. He told the jury his emotional account of the day he was handcuffed right outside his office.
