I'm detective Fox with APD and I was hoping you could kind of help me out with this um do you remember the Ola
mockers yeah they're friends okay we're just starting to see some things that really look very similar to um an Ola
moer case and in talking to your boss he was saying that um that essentially you
were working on a loan for them also as a matter Jason started the loan with the
a markers trying to do a Cash out refinance on their existing property they want to cash beyond what we could
give them because of a bankrupcy that they had there was no way VA could even come close to doing it when was the last
time you got out there the 10th or 11th of May maybe somewhere right in that ranch okay cuz Jason was telling us that
when he came into work and announced that they've been killed that you would said you've been there like 2 days prior
it was about 2 weeks before before oh it was 2 weeks before okay cuz this happened they were they were killed in
August early August correct so you're were probably there late July mid mid mid July okay okay why
would you be over there if Countrywide has no reason to be doing this alone everything on these two cases point
exactly to you I have no doubt because the facts put you there you have a 9 mm handgun and we know it was a Ruger and
we know that you you own a 9mm Ruger and I think that you went over there you had
your gun with you and there's a confrontation and he ended up shooting him and he didn't want to but it
happened and we just need to we need to talk about it so I didn't hurt the H Walkers I did not hurt the Walkers you
know what I I think you're a good guy but I don't I don't believe you did this what I've admitted I've come to the
Secret Service like I was supposed to I turn myself in for the things that I've done wrong I'm admitting that when it
comes to the or mockers sir I did not hurt anybody I can tell it in your eyes that you did and it hurts you it hurts
you that you did and you don't want to say it it hurts to think that someone thinks I would hurt someone like that no
that that's not what's bothering you that's not what's bothering you and it's not it's not the medication that's
making your head not St and you didn't check yourself into here because of some checks nothing's going to help you until
you confess until you get it out it's going to eat you up and I every day it's going
to eat you up forged I for I did forgery I know sir you're trying to help I did not hurt you no you didn't you didn't
hurt him you killed them I did not kill youkers what's going to happen when the gun matches up
though my gun's not going to match up you're positive yes so 100% I didn't shoot
him 100% positive the guns I can match up what's let's just say it does if it says it does then I'm in a
lot of trouble right because it is going to match up isn't it sure there's not a person in
the world that's going to look at this and think that you didn't kill him so it's time to quit lying it's time
to tell the truth so when I get this St from here I will contact you so that way you can
have me taken in booked wherever you need to cuz I'm not going to talk anymore okay

On June 14 2006, Det. Mike Fox and Secret Service Agent Brian Nguyen went to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque where suspect Ron Santiago, a mortgage loan processor, was undergoing psychiatric treatment. Fox and Nguyen questioned Santiago for approximately two hours about his possible involvement with the murders of Greg and Bernadette Ohlemacher, who’d been gunned down in their home on Aug. 2, 2005. Santiago’s lawyers later said at his murder trial that he had been given several medications before the questioning. Prosecutors countered by saying that Santiago’s doctor said there were no medical restrictions on him being questioned. These are excerpts from that interview.
