In the days after Nikki McCown vanished, her fiance didn't exactly act like someone waiting for her to come home.
Bobby Webster helped pass out flyers, but beyond that, there really wasn't a lot of searching he did. Instead, within
days, he contacted Nikki's community college to ask about a tuition refund, almost as if he was sure that she
wouldn't be back. He also returned her engagement ring and canceled their wedding venue when their ceremony was
like weeks out. Now, his explanation at the time was that he just like needed the money. But
like, it's sus, right? I mean, police sure thought so. They asked him to come down and take a polygraph, specifically
asking him if he was responsible for Nikki going missing, and according to investigators, he failed.
Now, Bobby says that's unfair, that he was asked if he felt responsible, not if he like knew what would happen or was
responsible. Well, then there's this. There's this woman named Kim who dated Bobby after
Nikki went missing, like a year later, and she got up the nerve to ask him about the case one day, just like
straight up, "Did you kill Nikki?" Bobby didn't answer, he just cried. Now, you know I always say, like you
never know how you're going to react, how someone else would react, until you yourself are in that situation, and
