When I was in San Francisco Did you take one? >> Waymo. >> Did you drive it? >> It is Oh my god.
If you haven't been in San Francisco before, cuz I think they're only in San Francisco, right? These are the
self-driving >> They're in a few other places. >> They're all over and it is robot world.
It is I did not take one cuz you have to have the app and I was going to take one
from the airport, but they are everywhere and >> Did you Were they Jaguars? >> Yep. Yep. Waymo Jaguars.
>> Jaguars? >> Yep, they all are white and they have all of these things that spin on the top
and all these monitors. >> high-definition cameras. >> And no one is no one is driving it.
>> So, in San Francisco, a Waymo arrived at a hot yoga studio called like hot yoga
eight a man and waits and then waits outside the yoga studio and a man ran in and stole a bunch of pairs of men's
fitness shorts and then got back in the Waymo and it drove him away. And despite
the 29 cameras, the police cannot figure out who this man was and in order to get
a Waymo, like you said, you have to have an account and you have to have already
put in your credit card number and they still can't figure out who this person was and so they're saying they think
it's the first case in San Francisco of someone fleeing the scene of a crime in a driverless car.
It just I just got me reading about how police are subpoenaing footage from Teslas and from Waymos because they have
so many high-def cameras filming outside of the vehicle. And there have been cases where the police
have brought a Tesla into quote custody because they're treating it like a witness because there there's valuable
footage there that they want to make sure it doesn't get tampered with. >> [snorts]
>> I Are you allowed to sit in the driver's seat of the Waymo? >> Oh my god, that's a great question.
>> You know, I kept cuz I was looking at them and there was you know, there were
two people in the backseat. There was Or Or what if you chose to Why not Why Why
not sit in the passenger seat? You know, if it's only you in the car. that's the
I I kept wondering how many people can you stuff in? And is it like a clown car? I mean, you would imagine that if
it's an Uber, the driver would say, "No, we're not putting seven people in this Honda." But if it's a Waymo, can't you
just all sit on each other's laps and stuff people in? >> when you do self-checkout and you don't
put the item down, it can feel that you haven't put the item down and it will say, like, put the item in the bag
before it will let you continue. Have you ever had this happen? Maybe the car can detect if there's too
many people and not enough seat belts. >> You know what? If it's driving itself,
it probably can. >> I bet it can. >> Yeah, absolutely. You're right.
