What is a knock-knock burglary? | Forensic Files

William done and I'm a detective too with LAPD West Valley burglary okay so this is evidence released by the LAPD of
these guys yeah that's typical for them they move real fast they're trying to be
in and out in about three minutes from the time they break into the time they ransack a bedroom find some jewelry and
get out what do you call these guys well we call them the knock-knock burglars and we actually named them here at West
Valley Station that back in 2010 you did right I did and the reason that we did it was at the time it was really good
for patrol and they had specific ammos so that when we were talking about different burglars to patrol they knew
what they were looking for so I mean they're hitting the high dollar residences they're acting in groups of
three four there were only grabbing cash and jewelry they're staying away from firearms because those have serial
numbers they're staying away from laptops because those have trackers so they're real specific they know what
they're doing and they know what they want I have a couple videos to show you okay
okay this one here well they're coming over a wall into the back and at first they're just kind of checking everything
out and they're really just trying to see if anybody's home if anybody's gonna come out of the house and confront them
and they're all masked up gloved up they're ready to go now this is kind of interesting here actually they're back
over in here and you'll see the lights will show right there of the residents coming huh oh wow and they're so cool
and calm they just knew that nobody was in the house when they went in and when somebody came home they just calmly left
