There's a safety feature on most phones that allows friends and family to share their locations. It wasn't enough to
save Christy Giles and Hilda Cabales, but it did help track down their killer. David Pierce met the two women at a
party and took them to his house where, according to prosecutors, he gave them cocaine laced with fentanyl and GHB, the
date rape drug. When they showed signs of distress, instead of calling for help, PICE waited hours, and then
disguised himself, removed the license plate from his car, and dropped Christy and Hilda off, both unresponsive, at two
separate hospitals. PICE told hospital staff he found the women passed out on the street and was being a good
Samaritan. He left without giving any information of ghost. But Chrissy's husband, Yan, was able to use his cell
phone to trace her every move, ultimately leading police straight to Pierce. Detectives say without that
information, there was a chance this case would have gone cold. Earlier this year, Pierce was found guilty of
firstdegree murder. A ghost now behind bars. Now Christiey's mom is asking others to follow her daughter's lead. As
much as it hurts to lose my baby girl, her body was able to tell the story and her sharing her location.
Technology told us where she was, how long she was. So, please within your own families, share
locations. You never know when you're gonna not be able to get in touch with somebody.
