CASE UPDATE: Michael Ferreira pleaded guilty to perjury and was sentenced to probation for 5 years as of June 7, 2021. Because Walter Shelley was a juvenile at the time of the murder, his conviction was downgraded to second-degree murder and he will be eligible for parole after serving 15 years in prison.
