A 7-year-old little girl was kidnapped while sleeping in a tent next to her siblings. It's the summer 1973 in
Montana and the Yeager family is camping at Headwaters State Park and four of the
young kids are sleeping together inside a tent while the parents sleep nearby in
a camper and the rest of the family like the older brother, grandparents, they're
all sleeping in like other setups nearby. Now around 5:00 a.m. 12-year-old Heidi Yeager wakes up to something
strange. There is this breeze inside the tent. And at first she's disoriented, right? Like she's just waking up. But
then she realizes that there is a giant hole sliced through the back of the tent
and her little sister Susie is gone. And what makes it worse is that her stuffed
animals are like lying in the grass outside the tent. Maybe like she was pulled out quickly. I mean this is
absolute nightmare fuel for everyone and police rush to the campground. It's pretty clear right away that this wasn't
a situation of a child just wandering off. Someone cut into that tent and took her. And what's so terrifying is how
close everyone else was. Her siblings were in the tent, her parents were only yards away and even other campers were
nearby and they heard nothing. How does someone abduct a child from the middle of a campground without anyone waking
up?

In June 1973, 7-year-old Susie Jaeger disappeared from her family's tent while camping at Headwaters State Park in Montana. Her sister woke up to find a large hole sliced through the tent and Susie gone. Her stuffed animals were left behind in the grass, and investigators quickly realized this was no accident or child wandering off.

Someone had entered the campground in the middle of the night and abducted her while her siblings slept just feet away and her parents were nearby.
