I'm Gilbert Bay reporter for wo and I'm the only reporter to interview Nicholas hbert before he was arrested for murder
charges this story was huge we had a female medic from Fort Brag who all of a sudden vanished and this community
really came together I got to interview Nick hbert because there was a a viewer who trusted
me gave me a call and said I want you to talk to this guy who was just arrested by faval police well he wasn't arrested
but he was brought in for questioning so that mutual friend got me in contact with Nick hbert and we decided to meet
at a local restaurant just to ask a few questions about him being taken in for questioning and having his vehicle
basically torn apart this is a guy who lived in the woods behind the froggy bottoms nightclub his car was his
sanctuary and now it had been wrecked homber told me that he befriended Kelly Bordeaux by shooting pool with her at
the froggy bottoms nightclub he said that there was a gentleman that was with her and they all became pretty close
friends the three of them kind of arranged that Nick hbert would provide a ride for Kelly Bordeaux from her
apartment to and from the club I asked uh Nick hbert Point Blank did you have anything to do with The Disappearance of
Kelly Bordeaux and he looked me in the eyes and said no I asked him well you're the last person to see Kell
Bordeaux what did you do that night he said they shot pool at the club around 1 1:30 she's she's home she's like I'm
tired I want to go home said okay so we got in the car and soon as as soon as I pulled into metal Brook she said you can
stop right here and let me out I'll walk I asked him well did you take her up to
the apartment he said no I dropped her off right near the entrance which I thought was kind of strange here it is
at Old Dark 30 you got a young female who is needing a ride home and you drop her off not at her front door that seems
strange Nick hbert knew he was about to be arrested he gave me a call and said he wanted to talk one more time before
he went into custody uh he got a beer had some had some cigarettes and it this was like his last a before he knew he
was going into um a jail because they were arresting him for violating his sex offender conviction why are you turning
yourself in Nick you know I've interviewed a lot of people during the course of my career over 30 some odd
years looked them eyeball to eyeball and asked some tough people some tough questions
this guy was convincing that he had nothing to do with The Disappearance of Kelly Bordeaux
