Notebook: Inside the case of Harris Todd vs. Dorothy Lee Barnett | Forensic Files

so I've had two recurring thoughts while covering this case the first one as a crime reporter is that it really only
takes one tip to reignite an investigation into a very cold case and solve it Lee Barnett had been hiding in
plain sight for a couple of decades but not until one man stepped forward did the FBI have any idea in the world where
Lee Barnett was now that man says that he decided to disclose Lee's location after Harris Todd provided several
documents from the court proceedings for him to read and that brings up the second recurring theme the idea that
this is a he-said she-said story when I was 38 I decided to get married before that people would say to me are you
afraid of marriage and it was never marriage that I was afraid of it was divorce and trust me when I tell
you that this case reaffirmed that fear if you start reading through those documents which I and our team of
producers did thousands and thousands of documents in this case more than 5000 documents you will see that the case of
Lee bar nut and Harris Todd was one of the most hateful and vitriolic of Family Court proceedings in its day and it
really hasn't changed to this day forward if you're one of those people who thinks it's justa he-said she-said
case then I submit that we add one more voice to this argument one more voice to
this case that of the child who is at the center of it now a grown woman the daughter of Lee Barnett and Harris Todd
has been left to pick up the pieces of this tragic mess and despite the fact that she herself has read every single
one of those documents every single hateful word innuendo and accusation from one parent against the other she
seems to be the only voice of reason the only person who is not publicly blamed or shamed and the only person who has
