New update in 30-year-old cold case: Jodi Huisentruit #shorts | Forensic Files

You may remember the Jodie Houston tour case out of Mason City, Iowa. Jod was a local newscaster who told her co-workers
she was running late for work, but then never showed up. She was never seen again. Jod's friends and family have
been searching for answers since 1995 and 48 hours first covered Jod's story in 2018. On October 20th, 2025, more
than 30 years after Jod's disappearance, District Attorney Jonathan Barnett in Wood County, Wisconsin, released this
50point memo. There's more than 50 points on here in which he identified a suspect and a murder he was
investigating. So, I spoke with Mr. Barnett and he said that he put this together because it links a man named
Christopher Reevac to Dedra Harm's case. Now, DJ was a young mother who went missing during Night Out in 2006. Now,
in 2009, after an arrest having to do with yet another investigation, Chris Reevac took
his own life while in police custody. So, why did I speak with a district attorney in Wisconsin when Jod's case is
based out of Iowa? Well, it turns out Reevac is an official person of interest in Jod's case. I had this confirmed by
Captain Mike McKelie, who is the next appointed police chief in the area and who has worked on Jod's case for a
really long time. He told me that there's nothing that positively links Reevac in his area at the time Jod
vanished, but he's not giving up hope. And in fact, what he's looking for is that if you are someone who maybe has
photos of Christopher Reevac at a birthday party in Mason City or at an event or has employment records,
anything along those lines, their department, the Mason City Police Department wants to hear from you. Take
