Jurors from Howard Pilmar’s murder trial had difficulty reaching verdict | Forensic Files

I didn't think it was gonna take us as long as I did I didn't either and I never thought that we wouldn't reach a
verdict but it was just a matter of how long it would take we probably spent an hour just going back and forth as a
group before finally we said okay let's vote and we did anonymous votes around the room Roz was the one that was the
hardest because half the room thought she was guilty and half the room didn't with Evan I want to say it was like
six-six guilty three not guilty three not sure a lot of the conversation boiled down to what was his role in the
crime and so a lot of people believe if you felt that he was guilty then she had
to be guilty as well you couldn't put her there and she didn't have defense wounds she
was creating the environment for the crime to happen whether or not she was the assailant or not
so did you perform an impression of Evan the evidence we had was he was at the scene of the crime or his blood was
there and there was no possible logical plausible reason for his blood to have gone there outside of the murder it
wasn't uncommon for people in the food industry to have cuts on their hand and he clearly was in the food industry if
it kept repeating like he works in the culinary industry so it's quite common that people got cuts in their hand so
what happened yeah it was it was hilarious to me it was insulting frankly if someone works in the culinary
industry and they cut their hand the first thing you do you put a bandaid on it the logic that he had cut his hand
walked in a space and then the blood fell onto the wall it's not positive so the first verdict you announced was
Roz's verdict and that was what guilty and the second was Evans verdict and that was guilty the entire scenario was
horrible there's no good either way but families lost a son my son's lost a mother and
father it was tough
