If you watch Survivor, no doubt you'll remember Joe Hunter. He is the California firefighter. He competed on
season 48 and quickly became a standout competitor. Well, he's going to compete again in a landmark season 50 next
spring. Joe is opening up now about why he is competing to celebrate the game and the show that he and his sister love
so much. You both had talked back in your younger years about going on Survivor together,
>> right? But more importantly, it is to honor his late sister Joanna. Joe wants
to bring attention to what happened to her. Joanna died at 36 years of age after she had experienced years of
domestic violence. Joe Hunter and his mother, Patricia, told me that their goal is to help others who are
struggling in domestic violence situations and to help keep Joanna's voice alive. And I think that what she
really wanted to do was get into public speaking, try to reach as many lives, motivate people to do things. That's
