Investigators say one of the most disturbing aspects of this case wasn't just the allegations against Roger Hueber, but the pattern they believe he used to gain access to vulnerable girls.
According to investigators, Hueber first built trust with families before becoming a regular part of their lives. Sheryl Rucci, who disappeared in August 2005 just weeks before she was expected to testify before a grand jury, had first babysat Roger's children as a teenager.
Years later, she was living with him and shared a daughter with him. Investigators identified similar circumstances involving other girls, including Meghan, who had known Roger since childhood and also babysat for his family.
