we're going to talk about uh the events regarding the death of your wife September the 17th 2012 we may very
briefly talk about the night before just to set the stage uh we're going to also
talk about your relationship with your late wife and what do you do for a living uh I was a physician until I
retired this past year and uh you're what type of physician I'm an Obstetrics and gynecological physician OBGYN and uh
are you currently single uh yes I I am were married to Leslie yes I was when when did you marry Leslie I married
Leslie on November 11th 1983 okay and was Leslie your first wife no and how many times said did You' been married
previous to Leslie oh one prior time one prior time okay and uh what were the living arrangements in September of 2012
who slept where who stayed where Etc um I uh slept in the West Wing Le he was sleeping in uh our master bedroom did
you and Leslie always sleep in separate bedrooms uh I occasionally slept in uh separate bedrooms due to my night call
doing eletrical delivery but you were sleeping separately okay what was the reason for that uh we had uh thought
about a trial separation okay and when you say separation I I assume you mean more than just separate in the house you
mean that you were going to thinking about getting divorced perhaps that was not the thought process we were talking
about and we never did but we were talking about a trial separation that's the only thing we discussed I'd either
one of you contacted an attorney for the purposes of divorce proceedings no okay
do you remember uh on the 17th uh about what time it is that you woke up somewhere between 6:00 and 6:30 so you
wake up 6 6:30 what do you do I decided to go for a run which I normally do where did you go to run on the morning
of the 17th I usually go to Green Lakes that's uh very close to us I ran a little over 3 miles so took you about a
half an hour approximately a little less than that tell us your best recollection
as to what time you got back home I would say it's somewhere around maybe 7:5 7 7:30 somewhere in that
vicinity I uh go pick up the newspaper and then I put on coffee I bring C cup of coffee to Leslie every
morning she needs a cup of coffee uh to wake up so I bring one a cup of coffee to her and you take it to Leslie in her
bedroom yes I take it to her in the bedroom L okay tell us what happens when you go into her bedroom uh the shower is
on the door is locked to the the bathroom I hear the water running and I place it on the nightstand next to where
she got out of bed did you have to open any doors to uh put the to get to the point where you put the cup of coffee on
her nightstand no okay and you say the uh bathroom door is locked no it's closed okay uh do you know if it was
locked or not uh I I don't okay in any event you can clearly hear the shower running that is correct yes do you do
you hear anything else other than the shower running no so when you get up to that door
doctor tell us what you do well again I knock on the door on the glass door right and call out to her
and still here response okay and what did you do that I opened the door to obviously see she was you know
just for time that's something she and she was laying and did you see any signs of
