I respond to crime scenes and I process the scene by documenting um processing um collecting and preserving evidence so
it's your job to basically arrive at the scene and get everything down photographically and document everything
at a death scene yes um taking notes sketches pictures video when you were dispatched to the scene what had you
been told I was told that it was a possible suicide and when I arrived here I I knew
something was not right there was no forced entry into the home I took pictures of every single window every
door every lock and there was nothing which suggests what to you that it had to have come from inside the home the
place is clean there's nothing outside it looks very neat living room is very very neat
there's no blood out here no broken glass nothing's turned over doesn't look like there was any type of struggle and
then you walk into this door and there's just blood everywhere that is one of the
firearms that was used um it had been moved before I got there the security guard said that it was in his hand when
he got there in lanny's hand yeah suggesting perhaps a suicide correct at first we didn't know how many times
he had been shot so there's obviously a lot of blood I know he tried to call for help we see a
phone cord here that's near his head this is the phone receiver that's on the wall next to the shower the shower is
right over here to the right so based on this you believe Lanny was trying to call for help I do this is the master
bedroom I wanted to make sure I got his luggage in here he was going out out of town this morning so um I wanted to make
sure I got that in there you've been at a lot of crime scenes uh in your career how how does this compare this is
definitely a more gruesome one that I've seen um I've never seen this many shots
fired there was bullet fragments everywhere I was at this house for 7 days I've never been in
a crime scene for that long it it was a lot of work at the end of your CSI investigation what do you know about
this case we have two M weapons it's isolated in one area of the home there were only two people in that house
