[Music] my music in my art has always been a part of my life I have to have a way for
me to vent my feelings and emotions and if I don't have my guitar or my painting
it's very difficult for me to do that so it's it's been you know what I get when
I feel a certain way whether it's happy or sad you can if you can tell in my art
or my music [Music] I don't like to call myself an artist but I like to believe that expression is
definitely very important especially you being human we need to express our feelings because if we don't bottle them
up they're going to come out the wrong way [Music] my heart has definitely changed
drastically I used to paint with a lot of colors and used to paint with a lot of happy emotions now everything is more
more abstract to black and white it's just that seems to depict what's going on right now in my life is there's
there's no in-between it's either black or white there's definitely more tension in the
art there's more you could just tell I've changed completely as a person definitely there's there's really no
color right now [Music]

While waiting for his trial and punishment for the killing of Jacque Villagomez, John Needham struggled to express his grief -- "There's no color right now."
