I want to ask you about approaching this role in all my years of covering murder
cases I've never had a an admitted murderer who can sing dance direct a musical give a sermon at a funeral be a
mortician coach little league teams I mean is this part of the Intrigue for you of this of this character the thing
about playing Bernie is that uh he's lovable and it's really important to Bernie that he be
loved you know know he loves people and he and he doesn't he doesn't want anyone
to to dislike him and the idea of having enemies or people that don't like him really I think gets under his skin and
bothers him and I I can relate to that I have a little bit of that in me too if I
feel like someone's mad at me I I'll I'll go out of my way to try to make that right because it'll eat away at me
it'll be under my skin and I think that was part of his his relationship with marjerie is he he didn't want to have
someone like marrey hate him so he was super kind maybe to a fault he was so kind that maybe he
had a problem letting out his anger when he had it if he had resentment he would
never let it out he would be nice and sweet and he would kind of keep that tucked away and pressure would build he
needed a release valve I think that he doesn't really have of being an sometimes just to to let off some steam
