it looks so tiny I know it's so tiny bet she was that small Barbara was chosen as
a varsity cheerleader when she was a sophomore sophomore so she would have been a varsity cheerleader when she was
a junior that is the first time in the history of the high school that a junior would have been on the varsity uh
cheerleading team and that was 1979 yeah I remember when all the girls came in to our bedroom and kidnapped her
when she made Varsity chair they all came in and got her and she was so excited she was excited to find out that
she didn't make JV she made varsity and everybody was talking about it a lot of there was a lot of girls that were upset
that uh because for her to make Varsity some of those some of the varsity cheerleaders uh you know one or two must
have lost their position and there was a pre season game early August right before she was killed that she got to go
out on the field and cheer and we were all there watching her and so excited for her yeah she was bright and
beautiful and happy and yeah she was so excited and we were and everyone was so proud do you remember this yeah yeah my
grandma taught my barara how to knit or crochet my my mom was teaching Barbara how to crochet and of course she'd go
over to Grandma's house and complain about Mom and Dad and everybody else and my mom would just sit there and teacher
had a crochet and about half of this was done when Barbara was killed and I took it to my mother and I
said Mom would I'm going to ask you something so awful but I just wish I I said would you finish it
and she waited she hesitated and then she said I'll finish it and but she told me when she finished it that it was hard
to do yeah
