victim and the victim's family as we should when you're covering crime but people forget about the family of the
person who's been accused guilty or innocent they are also victims that they have to go through this process now

this moment in time so we're going to be talking to them about what it has been like for them uh the ups and downs and
all the times they've been disappointed in the past because they thought they had the evidence to clear

fun memories you know we you know we were a loving family we loved each other I'm Jan it's nice to meet you and then
when this happened it like wow you know you broke up the unit has there ever been any point in time honestly for any
one of you ever doubt his innocence oh no I've always I never I my brother not one moment of maybe what if no never no
did you feel that there was a possibility he might be found guilty that there was enough evidence against
him no I didn't uhuh not with the evidence that they had brought up to us I had no dream that they would find him
guilty darl said to us do not hire me a lawyer do not waste your money I will go
with a public defender cuz when the DNA come back it wasn't me we was confident that the
DNA would say it all for darl and I remember the prosecutor saying I bet my job that when the DNA come back it's
going to convict all of them and when they said the DNA didn't I was like wow my brother's getting
out
