The killer in this case left a trail of clues. Stephanie Caspers remains weren't
just dumped. They were placed strategically in multiple locations. Some of her was found on the bank of
Root River and then later more of her remains were discovered near a family's farmhouse a few miles away. But between
Racine County where she was found and Milwaukee where she went missing, missing items that she was last known to
be with showed up along a rural road. There was a purse, a wallet insert, photos, even her social security card.
So someone was moving between Milwaukee and Racine County and they were shedding
evidence as they go. Was this two confused people? Did the locations have more meaning? How long did the killer
spend disposing of Stephanie and her items and what could that tell us?

In 1969, after 17-year-old Stephanie Casberg was murdered, investigators uncovered a disturbing pattern—her remains and personal belongings were not left in one place, but scattered across multiple locations.

Some of her remains were found along the Root River in Racine County, while additional remains were discovered miles away. Along the route between Milwaukee, where she disappeared, and Racine County, items she had with her—including her purse, photos, and Social Security card—were found along a rural road.

This wasn’t random. It suggests the killer was moving through the area and deliberately leaving evidence behind.

What could this tell us??

More than 50 years later, the case remains unsolved.
