Casey Kasem's final days in Washington State | Forensic Files

thank I'm Sam 24 keep my status at ocean till 1600 no stats I am sergeant Ken Dickinson and I'm a patrol sergeant with
the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office so on May 13 2014 we got a nine one one call from the
Washington Adult Protective Services Agency asking us to go to an address in Silverdale and check on the welfare of
Casey Kasem I was surprised and it was a little you know I wouldn't say starstruck but it was like wow you know
it's like Casey Kasem sitting there and yeah I was a little bit excited and when
word got out eventually through the community that he was in Kitsap County there was quite a buzz that was stirring
through the community when the sheriff's came it was surprising they did have a conversation Casey knew where he was I
know he knew he was a sheriff and just had conversation back and forth it was a whisper but yes he was communicating did
he ever ask him are you okay yes yes are you okay how are you basically I'm nice
to meet you and he said something to the effect that you know I listen to the top
40 which he you know acknowledged raised his eyebrows and he was smiling and and
he did ask him if you know if he was in and he just discomfort and he was he just smiled happy he was fine in case he
was happy to see you he was happy to see him he was happy to see everyone did Jean what do you remember from that
visit what struck you they did shake his hand and they wanted to check to make sure that he knew where he was and that
it was okay and that he had his medications the deputies that made the initial contact all felt that he was in
good shape and everything looked to be in order so we left the residence at that point having verified that he's in
good condition and that it appeared that his medical needs were being taken care
of you
