Is this thing on? Captain's vlog number one. We're live in the garage. [Music] [Music]
Let's try that again. And that was a little off. So I got this little synth thing that I
like that's kind of looping. It's kind of F to a D. Sounds like this. [Music] Going to add a little bass uh with this
sound. Maybe a little lower. [Music] That's a little creepy sounding. [Music] It's a crazy sound right now. I'm adding
this little creepy texture to the top of it. So, this is the loop by itself. But then
if you add in like this little shaker thing, I think it kind of just gives it a little bit better of a groove. But as
like maybe as the trailer, you know, um adapts and as it like develops, maybe add this in as well.
[Music] Uh at this point, then I'll start looking for some news clips that kind of
tell the story a little bit, but but that don't give it too much away. Uh, it's really about setting the tone for
the show. Kind of gets your mind away from the everyday, you know, I mean, that's kind of my process. I I
did uh two simple synth sounds. One being a higher pitch, one being more of the bass. Uh, all just basically going
back from F to D in the key of F minor, and then using this kind of creepy texture on top and then adding in a
groove. So, that's pretty much all I did with this one. Okay, just when I thought I was done,
couple things. One, I wasn't in love with the little shaker part far as mood setting goes. Lower the tempo a little
bit and then add a little bit more of an actual drum loop. So, I programmed some
drums and uh did some weird little things. Here's those by themselves. has a couple weird sound effects in it.
And then by starting off the tune syn sounds at the beginning, [Music] then we get this uh bass sound that
comes in. And it's definitely some grit there. It kind of gives you some tension, I feel. Anyways,
I like that groove a lot better. Anytime it's a missing person case, I mean, I'm I'm big fan of missing person
cases. You know, there's this element of them just disappearing into the night. And yes, I do take into account what
case we're covering. And is there anything that I can find? You know, if you speed this up, you know, to a dable
tempo, it's going to be And let's just do that real quick. So, the tempo right now, it was at 105. I bumped it down to
100. I feel like it sits better there. Uh, so let's just do like 135. So, here's the whole thing at 135.
[Music] back down to 100, which will give you little bit of the creep factor [Music]
as if somebody uh was out drinking, if somebody was out going from bar to bar or hanging out with friends and they
kind of just disappeared. But, you know, kind of as if you're going from bar to bar and the dance club and all that
stuff is happening, but what would h you know, it's like a couple more drinks, maybe everything slows down a little bit
and uh sometimes there, you know, sometimes that stuff gets a little weird. Uh I think this is going to be a
good episode. Uh and I'll probably have to do a trailer for the part two of it. Cheers.
