at the time he died he had the second largest Batman collection in the world and he had a Batmobile and he was
planning on building a a museum in St in the St Augustine area he was looking for
a place to rent to make into a Batman Museum he was a big collector of um mobilia he he loved I think he was
probably one of the biggest collectors of Batman mobilia and um and you would see I mean
uh Stacks and stacks and stacks of first Edition toys that on the original box uh
just packed up I mean his house looked like a warehouse it uh almost got to the point where it was so intrusive in his
home he had one room that he called his Museum and it was filled with Batman memorabilia hanging from the ceilings
and a completely customized room just to keep his uh his Batman collections well
uh Benji was in his 50s and and back in the superhero days uh when he was growing up as a teenager he had a
fascination with the comic comic books comic strips uh anything related to the superheroes and uh I guess you know uh
it just took a bizarre form in collections but he could afford it he lived a life uh that I think he
considered to be lavish he enjoyed collecting Batman memorabilia and he lived among his memorabilia and I think
he liked that very much he has a home in a beautiful neighborhood on the inter Coastal in Fort Lauderdale and that's a
very desirable address and I think that he felt very good about about that well he was very proud uh prior to his death
and it's uh I I leave this with with one thing that Ben did he had purchased a Batmobile a replica of a Batmobile and
he was very proud of it and he had told me that he had just driven it and got gas in it and it was his first time
unfortunately it was also the last time that he drove the Batmobile
