Hi, I'm Josh Parr with CBS News 48 hours. We're here on set in LA doing a gun demonstration. Drew Lowour of
Hollywood Special Ops is here. He's our Phantom camera operator. Drew, tell me a
little bit about your camera. I'm shooting with a really fun camera today. Uh, it's one of my favorites, Phantom
Flex 4K. Your average motion picture camera, you shoot 24 still frames every second and almost like a flip book, you
can see that play back and makes a movie. Well, this one records instead of 24 up to a thousand frames a second in
one second. And that's what creates ultra slow motion. So you catch time in between where human eyes can't even see.
Hey Nick, how you doing? Here we go. Action. Ready. Action. [Applause] Just got done making a real mess over
here. Thankfully, this is what I do every day. So, we set the camera for this shot
at,000 frames per second. All right, Nick, you ready? Took the lens really close to it and shot bullets all over
the scene into the mirror of the alarm clock and caused them to shatter just all over the place, which looks
so so great in slow motion.

"48 Hours" reconstructed the bedroom of Brad and Andra Sachs to demonstrate the firepower used at the crime scene. We used a slow-motion camera to capture the damage an assault rifle can create. Associate producer Josh Parr talks with Drew Lauer of Hollywood Special Ops about his camera and how he captures slow motion video.
