A little over a month after Melissa Cassias vanished, a stranger showed up with a message. Melissa's daughter
Sierra was at work one day when this woman showed up. She supposedly was a long-time friend of her mother's, but
Sierra didn't recognize her cuz if they had ever met before, it would have been when Sierra was really little. Anyway,
this woman said that she had driven hundreds of miles from Colorado to Taos, New Mexico to give Sierra a $50 high
school graduation gift. And while she's there, she takes a photo with Sierra. Then she said some strange things like,
"I have psychic abilities and I feel like your mom is fine." Then she adds something even more cryptic. She says,
"If your mom really left on her own, she always knows where to find me." And then
she tells Sierra not to tell her dad about this visit. Of course, Sierra did tell her dad Mark. And when he hears
about it, he starts thinking, "What if Melissa sent this woman like a proxy or something to check on Sierra?" Those
photos, maybe she wanted some kind of visual to know that her daughter was okay after she left. I mean, she could
have just mailed the 50 bucks, right? Well, here's where it gets really strange. When investigators track this
woman down, she denied everything. She hadn't been to Taos, she said. Hadn't seen Sierra. Didn't even know Melissa.
Up until a couple of days ago, this was just a weird puzzle piece. But recently,
we found more information that makes me think this might be the key to everything. Make sure to follow because

A month after Melissa Casias disappeared in Taos County, New Mexico, a woman approached her daughter claiming to be a longtime friend.

She said she had driven from Colorado, gave her a $50 graduation gift, and made unsettling statements about Melissa being “fine.” She also asked her not to tell her father.

When investigators later tracked the woman down, she denied ever being in Taos, denied meeting Melissa’s daughter, and said she didn’t know Melissa at all.
