They were very nice apartments, a nice place to live, uh places for the kids to to run and play. So, this part of the
city was really uh very quiet. But, in the early hours of a November morning, Greensboro police were alerted to an
incident in this quiet part of town. We used to work rotating shifts where we would work different hours. By 4:00 in
the morning, you're ready to go home. On this particular night, I remember uh I got a call though instead to to go to
Wesley Long Hospital. There's a person coming that has had an accident at home, and her name was
Elaine. When I got to the hospital, Elaine was in one of the uh emergency rooms. They
were uh doing resuscitative things to her, trying to get her back. >> [music] >> They were doing all they could to save
her life. But, she was gone.

Police were called to a quiet Greensboro neighborhood before rushing to the hospital, where doctors fought to save Elaine’s life after a reported accident at home.
